Patrick Dougherty is the VP, Planning and Operations for WindMIL Therapeutics. Prior to joining WindMIL, Mr. Dougherty was Chief of Staff to the SVP R&D Pipeline for Pharmaceuticals R&D at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Mr. Dougherty joined GSK in 2009 as a Director in the R&D Strategy Office and went on to hold a number of leadership roles and to steer multiple strategic efforts for Pharmaceuticals R&D, including implementing a global center of excellence for Worldwide Business Development, establishing a central PMO and change management function, and leading implementation of a multi-year global facility strategy.
Prior to joining GSK, Mr. Dougherty was an engagement manager in the Life Sciences practice of L.E.K. Consulting. At L.E.K., Mr. Dougherty led over 30 engagements with a wide range of biotech and pharmaceutical clients, focusing on growth strategy, strategic planning, and commercial due diligence. He has also held various roles in business/corporate development at Endo Pharmaceuticals, Laboratorios Bagó and the Center for Technology Transfer at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Dougherty holds a BS in Chemistry from Villanova University, an MSc in Technology Management from the University of Manchester (UK), and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Dougherty leads Business Planning and Operations, Human Resources, Communications & Public Relations, Executive Operations, Information Technology, and Facilities (non-lab). He is passionate about creating high performing teams and organizations and is keenly focused on the development of WindMIL’s people and culture.
